Water beds.
When I was a kid I really, really wanted a water bed. I just thought they were so cool, the way they jiggled. I remember asking my dad for one at the mattress store one time, and he got mad and said, "NO, that's no good. That kind of bed only for... yucky people." I never understood this when I was little, but now I'm pretty sure he meant water beds were only for porn stars.

My parents had a king-size waterbed and my brother had a full-size one...I did not have one, and I am the lone member of the immediate family who didn't have a child at 24! Go me. :D

Hahaha, that's awesome. My parents had a water bed for most of my early childhood, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, but it was a big pain in the ass for them--sprung leaks once in a while 'n stuff.

hahaha.. now that i think about it though, those things would be kind of uncomfortable huh? like always shaking and stuff.
