I've sucked at updating lately, and at the dad-memories. I'm on it, I swears. I guess I haven't really had very much happen lately, but some things...

1. Working at Oakley is going well. The seasonal position ends around the end of September, hopefully I'll have done well enough for them to keep me on full-time.

2. I didn't have enough patience to grow my hair out and got a new haircut. I caved and have scene hair. It is one of my favorite hair cuts ever though. It's a lot more layered than it looks, it's long in the front but pretty short in the back.

3. I turned 24 on the 14th of this month where I drank way waaayy too much vodka then I should have and puked on the street for the first time.

4. New tattoo, Henry's birthday present to me.

Ah, the activities of the unemployed. I made strawberry cupcakes today, (strawberry cake, strawberry cream cheese filling, strawberry buttercream) they were sublime.

My Thanksgiving was awesome, and yummy. I made all the sides, I was on my friggen game. :D

Halloween this year was comprised of copious shots of patron, crowds of slutty muffin-tops, and dancing the night away to old school 80's and 90's hip hop in Downtown San Jose. It was fun, fun, fun. :D

I guess I really didn't take many pictures when I went this last time. I love going to Korea, but I think I lost my touristy enthusiasm the third time around.

I just realized there's some stuff that I've neglected to make a note of here.

1. I turned 22 a couple of months ago, and had a fun birthday with Henry, Jenn and Chris. We got to see Bobby Lee at Improv in San Jose, and also..



.. totally got to meet him! He was really nice, we actually got the last picture with him. I think he felt sympathetic towards gimpy-Henry. :P

2. A couple of months ago, I had a lip piercing for like two seconds.



3. I enrolled, and then un-enrolled within the same week to the Le Cordon Bleu, California Culinary Institute after reading a not so flattering article on the school. I am now unhappily back on the search for a good culinary school.

Some things..

1. Last week I cooked dinner for Henry's parents and his little sister over at their house. After dinner Henry was helping his little sister with something, and his mom and I decide to sit down and play a game of horse race. We're playing, having a fine time, then in the middle of the game she says "What do you think about Mr. Ong and I talking to your parents about when you and Henry get married." After a couple seconds of uncomfortable stuttering from me I politely told her that I thought it was too soon to be getting the parents together. Then she said that they're old-fashioned, and since Henry and I are living together she'd like to see some stability, and have us settle down soon. Then we proceeded to play the rest of the game while my heart was beating out of my chest.

Most uncomfortable/awkward conversation with my boyfriend's mom ever.. EVAR.

2. Everything's set and in order for me to graduate this spring. Holy crap, I'm going to be an adult! But maybe not yet. I've been having thoughts lately about staying at school for a bit longer, to pursue a second major.. maybe. I'll be able to graduate with a higher GPA which would help with possible getting into grad school.. even though I doubt I'll want go to grad school, but this'll help if I ever do. If I go for another major in the social sciences then it wouldn't take me too much longer to get a second major, it'll help with jobs later on. I'm also thinking about a minor in art, if I do stay at school. It's just a possibility for now, I still have to talk to my parents about it. The only reason why I'd refrain from staying at school longer is it would mean less time with my dad. I'm wondering where this studious ambition was a couple years ago. I don't know, this might just be a subconscious fear of not wanting to be an adult yet. :P

3. My desire to go to culinary school is ever increasing.

4. I've bought 3 vintage dresses in the past couple of weeks, I'm obsessed. I've also been really into sewing lately, repairing things, embellishing things, but most of the time just fixing loose seams. I've been wanting to make my own clothes lately, I need to learn how to use a sewing machine.

I've been away from lj, and life in general.. because I've been freaking DYING. This is not been a good year for me health-wise. :( A few days ago I came down with some kind of stomach flu thing that reduced me to a mound of sick, quivering girl-goo. Not very fun at all. Still, I hope everyone has a happy Christmas. Time at home's been fun, I miss my family so much while I'm at school.

Liselotte! I hope you and Nedda and everyone are having fun, I wish I could go and play with you guys so badly. :(
